Customer Service eCommerce Manager

We are seeking a candidate for a multi-faceted customer service role with knowledge of the home lighting industry. This individual will provide customer service and support via phone, e-mail, and chat while also working through longer-term client optimizations, from content development to managing client website marketing campaign, and social media updates. You will need to have a high degree of independence, be able to multi-task, and be comfortable working with diverse team skill sets in a virtual working environment. Candidates with specific experience in indoor/outdoor lighting are preferred. This is an exciting opportunity for a multi-talented individual.


  • Providing phone, chat, and e-mail support to retail customers by providing product and service information and resolving product and service problems
  • Reviewing and updating client websites’ product photos and descriptions to maintain consistency and ensure communication of important information
  • Creating and monitoring marketing campaigns
  • Maintaining product data and technical documentation
  • Maintaining knowledge base and automated chatbot logic
  • Writing and editing blogs, press releases, technical documentation, and other content for use in communicating marketing messages
  • Engaging with clients through social media channels through the creation of relevant posts and comment interactions
  • Leading website optimizations while coordinating with Graphic Designer and Software Developer
  • Developing and communicating an understanding of manufacturers’ specialties and products

Basic Qualifications

  • Independent and a self-starter; can monitor responsibilities, research new concepts as needed, and proactively determine and begin next steps
  • Enjoys learning and taking on new challenges. Has a willingness to say “yes” to assignments
  • Can write professionally for press releases, technically for website specifications, and loosely for approachable blogs. Must also have a critical eye for proofreading
  • Thrives in an exciting, ever-developing role
  • Communicates clearly through written and spoken word
  • Knowledge of the home design industry, especially interior decor and lighting
  • Multi-tasker; can prioritize as appropriate and juggle various, ever-changing duties
  • Possesses an understanding of marketing and sales

Education, Experience, and Licensing Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher required, within the fields of Marketing or Interior Design preferred
  • Experience working in customer support necessary
  • Knowledge of the design and lighting industry important. Knowledge of lanterns preferred
  • Previous experience using complex software required; knowledge of Hubspot, WordPress, and Magento is required

Location: Remote in Los Angeles Time Zone

Flexible work schedule to complement primary office hours between 7 AM and 4 PM PST Monday – Friday.
