Shopify's integration with Hero's virtual shopping features offers merchants a way to engage consumers an immersive shopping experience as e-commerce surges during the coronavirus pandemic. For now, Shoppers are more likely to shop from home more often. U.S. online sales jumped 76% to $73.2 billion last month from a year earlier, per Adobe Analytics, indicating a significant shift in spending habits that may prove to be long-lasting.
Any merchant that sells in-person can now bring the same conversational shopping experience to their customers that the world’s largest retail brands use to convert online visitors and grow foot traffic to their stores.
With Hero for Shopify, stores can shop virtually with online customers via chat and video — and stay in touch via text. Launch partners include Neighborhood Goods, Ministry of Supply, Heyday, Clare V, Naturopathica and The Detox Market, joining established Hero partners on Shopify including UNTUCKit, Credo Beauty and Jonathan Adler.
